Darren McNamara re-signs with Japaneseusedcars.com

Formula D 2007 rookie of the year Darren McNamara has re-signed with Japaneseusedcars.com for the 2008 season. Darren will campaign 3 cars in 2008, his famed SR20 AE86 will be campaigned in the Prodrift Europe series while Darren will drive his white AE86 in the Prodrift Ireland series. In the Formula D series held in the USA Darren will drive a totally new car with Team Falken. Japaneseusedcars.com are pleased to have Darren on board for the second year in a row and look forward to what is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for professional drifting world wide.

Autospecs - Japaneseusedcars.com are involved in the fast growing motor sport of Drifting and currently sponsor a number of drivers, teams, series and events world wide. Japaneseusedcars.com are title sponsor of the 2008 European Drift Championship which is based in the UK, the series is now known as The Japaneseusedcars.com European Drift Championship.


We also sponsor the UK based Drift team of Driftworks which is the leading supplier of drift related products in Europe. The Driftworks team comprises of three cars and drivers, Phil Morrison is the leading driver who won the 2006 D1 UK championship he will be driving a highly modified Nissan S15 Silvia for the 2008 series. His team mates are Ben Broke-Smith who drives an early 1990s Toyota Chaser and is a fierce contender and thirdly James Robinson who drives a Nissan Skyline R32, all cars are highly modified and well known in the drift scene in Europe and the UK.


Autospecs - Japaneseusedcars.com have also been sponsors fo the D1NZ championship and have in the past two years sposnsored a number of drivers from New Zealand to attend the D1 World All Stars Championship held at Irwindale Speedway in California, we have also sponsored some New Zealand drivers to compete in the Toyo Tyres Asia Pacific series in countries such as China and Malaysia.


Autospecs - Japaneseusedcars.com are also sponsors of Darren McNamara the 2006 Prodrift Series Champion from Ireland, Darren competes in Prodrift Ireland, Prodrift Europe, Formula D in the U.S. and the D1 U.S. series, he drives for Team Falken in the U.S. and won the Formula D rookie of the year 2007 with one round still remaining in the championship this indicates just how good Darren realy is. Japaneseusedcars.com are working with Darren for 2008 and will be making important announcements shortly regarding Darren and his sponsorship for 2008.

Autospecs - Japaneseusedcars.com are also involved with the motor sport of Time Attack and sponsored the Time Attack UK series in 2007. 2008 sees us step up again to sponsor Time Attack UK which involves some of the UK's fastest Tuner cars compete to find who is the fastest around a lap of some of the UK's best circuits. Top UK tuner companies such as Zen Performance, RC Developments, Fensport and Sumo Power are well known in this popular motor sport.

Autospecs - Japaneseusedcars.com were leading sponsors and helped these four top UK tuner teams come to Japan in December 2007 to run at the Famous Tsukuba Circuit and compete in the 18th Revspeed Super Lap event against the very best Tuners Japan has to offer names like HKS, Panspeed, Zero Sports, Mines and top drivers like Nobu Taniguchi and Tarzan Yamada. The UK teams did reasonably well considering it was their first time to run at Tsukuba and posted times that put them well within notice of the Japanese who have had countless laps at this tuners mecca in Japan. We look forward to seeing the UK guys back in japan at Tsukuba in 2008.
